The Theory Test

The Motorcycle Theory Test takes about an hour to complete and is held at a DSA Theory Test Centre from Mondays to Saturdays. You must first take and pass the theory test before taking the full motorcycle licence test.

The motorcycle theory test is in 2 parts. The first part is a series of multiple choice questions for which you must achieve a minimum score of 43 out of 50 to pass. The second part is a hazard perception test. You will sit in front of a computer monitor and watch a series of video clips. You will need to click on a mouse every time you see the hazard and you must achieve a minimum score of 44 out of 75 to pass.
