   MOTORCYCLE & SCOOTER TRAINING SCHOOL

 

We are a small, friendly motorcycle & scooter training school with a big reputation, making your training fun whilst maintaining a high standard of tuition. Our first priority is always your safety. Feel free to check out our Google Reviews completed by satisfied students over the past few years.

First and foremost, SAFERIDE Motorcycle and Scooter Training is the ONLY school you require for all of your training needs, with a CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) training site in the Brighton & Hove district. We cover every aspect of your training, from your first baby steps as a complete novice on a New Rider course or CBT, right through to getting your full motorcycle licence. You can find all the information you need on the training pages, and a full list of our courses which  run 7 days a week.

We are based in Southwick, which is just 4 miles from Brighton city centre, with easy access by car and FREE parking. If you’re travelling by public transport, the Fishersgate train station is just a 10 minute walk and Brighton buses serve the area regularly as well.

If you’re completely new to riding and feel nervous about doing the CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) then you can try our New Rider Course, a 2 hour session without any pressure.

CBT Training Feature

CBT

This is your first step to riding either a moped or motorbike. CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) is scheduled as a one day course designed to teach you the basic skills required to ride on the road.

CBT Renewals

If your CBT certificate is still valid and is just about to run out, then you can book onto one of our Fast Track CBT renewal courses. We will only have other people on your course who are in a similar position.

Full Licence Feature

Full Licence Training

We offer training for your full licence, whether it is for A1, A2 or the DAS (Direct Access Scheme) test as consecutive 4, 5, 6 or 7 days training programs.

  • I completed the new rider and separate 2-hour, 1-2-1 training before I felt confident enough to go for the CBT. Both instructors Toby and Des were brilliant and helped me to gain confidence during the 2 separate training sessions to book onto the CBT course. I was delighted to see that they were also there to support me through the CBT course which put me at ease. They both showed incredible patience with a new rider who was struggling with the gear changes and remembering a lot of information throughout the whole CBT day. Their support and encouragement helped me to continue even when I was feeling particularly tense and low in confidence. I would highly recommend SafeRide and its instructors.

  • Has my mod 1 and 2 tests with Tony, had a little case of testing nerves, but having everything explained in a simple way, and some fun jokes along the way helped me pass both in one day! Definitely recommend saferide as the best riding school in Sussex!

  • I did my CBT with these guys after having done one previously with a different company and I have to say that these guys are incredibly good. Their teaching method is really helpful, and they are calm and patient with new riders. Steve and Tony are both also really funny, and knowledgeable with a lot of riding experience between them. I would happily return to these guys

  • I sat on a manual 700cc bike for the first time last week, having been riding a 125 twist and go for the past 12 months. In three days Saferide took me from complete novice to passing my mod 1 and mod 2 class A tests. It has been a truly amazing experience. Huge thanks to Tony and Tony Ten. You built my confidence and enabled me to exceed my expectations.
